These are the components of the plug cap. A spring, the resistor, and the fitting.

The idea is to replace the resistor with a piece of metal of the same size. In this case we use a 5mm screw that has the head removed.

Here are the parts to place back into the plug cap.

The important things to remember are to remove the parts when the cap is hot. Use a large bladed screwdriver that is at least as wide as the fitting is round.

Remove the front plug cap and perform the same procedure to it.
