The water pump impeller shaft is pressed into the bearing so we have to press it out. |
This is the mechanical seal that is pressed into the water pump/clutch cover. It has to be pressed out carefully so as not to mar any sealing surfaces. On the other side of the case is a bearing and oil seal both of which have to be removed. |

On the impeller we have to remove the old ceramic and rubber seal which we replace with new ones. |
Here is one of the more fun things to do. We have to remove all traces of the old gasket without marring the gasket surface. Mechanics love this part the most. |
